Happiness

Do you speak dog?
This means 'Happy'.
In this age, in this country, public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it, nothing can succeed. Whoever molds public sentiment goes deeper than he who enacts statutes, or pronounces judicial decisions.

Brilliant!

The engine that drives our economy is not Wall Street,
its not big-business and, God knows, its not government.

It's consumer spending.

Period.

Instead of pouring money into corporate pockets to bail-out their failed business models,
(whatever the cause)
why not bail-out the consumer?

Representative Louis Gohmert of Texas is proposing that starting 1 January 2009, there should be no withholding for six months on the paychecks of all Americans. People like me who pay their own taxes will not have to file quarterlies. No social security, no unemployment and no income taxes for six months. Put the money directly into family budgets starting with your first check in January. The extra money would have an immediate effect on consumer spending and debt pay-downs. So far the Federal Reserve and King Henry Paulsen have promised over Seven TRILLION dollars in corporate and bank support. Reciepts from withholding equal 106 billion dollars a month to the federal govenment, so a tax moratorium would hit the federal budget for less than a tenth of the current plan and have an immediate and breath-taking effect.

This is brilliant!
This is the way out!
This is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel!

GET BUSY!
FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
WE'VE MADE THEM CHANGE COURSE BEFORE, LET'S DO IT NOW!

Call your senator and representative and tell them you support the Gohmert tax holiday plan!

Clog the phones!
Burn the telegraph lines!
Hell, send smoke signals!
Remind them that they work for you!
